Active Physician - A person who has earned a recognized doctorate degree (MD, DO or their equivalent) in medicine and is currently licensed to practice their profession by the applicable licensing or examining board. $335.  First-year physicians have the option of joining at a reduced price of $150.

A person who is a licensed (or license-eligible) healthcare provider, such as a naturopathic physician, nurse, psychologist, mental or social health worker, acupuncturist, massage therapist, or other professional. $185.

A person who has been an active physician member and has retired or is disabled from active medical practice, or are qualified MD's or DO's, or equivalent. $150.

A person serving an internship or residency at a properly accredited hospital or medical facility. $65.

A person enrolled in a full-time training program at a recognized accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medical college. This membership includes access to the student forum which links students to each other, to holistic medical mentors and to holistic training programs. All students will be able to apply for the Norm Shealy scholarships which support student attendance at the annual AHMA conference. $40/year or $80 max for 4 years.

AMSA Medical Student
A person enrolled in a full-time training program at a recognized accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medical college who is also a member of the American Medical Student Association. The AHMA enthusiastically invites AMSA students to join the AHMA at NO COST.  Please call for this rate.

A person enrolled in a recognized accredited training program that leads to licensure or certification in a health care profession as specified under the "Associate" category. $30.

Any other person who is supportive of the concepts and philosophies of holistic medicine and would like to stay in touch with those working in holistic medical fields. $100.
