The Doctor Finder is a popular tool that helps the public find holistic healthcare providers. The website also provides a wealth of information about holistic medicine and creates a community that makes it easy for AHMA members, colleagues and affiliates to connect with each other.

Public Exposure through Online Directories

AHMA coordinates with other organizations in order to make it easier for the public to find you. We review online directories and referral sources in order to ensure that they share a commitment to quality and integrity in the field of integrative, holistic healthcare and then find ways for our members to gain Internet visibility.

The following examples show how your outreach expands through membership in AHMA:

• HealthWorld Online's "Find a Practitioner" Network at www.HealthReferral.com makes you accessible to 225,000 monthly visitors. The "Find a Practitioner" Network is promoted throughout HealthWorld Online www.healthy.net and weekly in Healthy Update newsletter (133,000 subscribers).
• Each physician and practitioner member is entitled to receive a free six-month listing on the Natural Solutions "Practitioner Directory" at www.naturalsolutionsmag.com.
• AHMA members are entitled to a 50% discount on their listing at www.theholisticoption.com. Discounts on Tools for Your Practice

Wellness Inventory Licensing: AHMA has arranged for its members to receive a $50 discount ($245) on the $295 first-year annual license fee. An additional $50 from every first-year annual license fee will be donated to AHMA, so this is an additional way you can help support our organization.

Membership Directory

On a quarterly basis, our electronic Membership Directory is updated. It serves as a great resource providing members with definitions of CAM/integrative therapies, a glossary of credentials, and cross references that help members stay in contact with friends and colleagues across the country. A printed directory is planned for sale at the annual conference. Call if you would like to reserve a copy at only $10, which helps defray printing costs.

Newsletter

A bi--monthly newsletter is sent to all members electronically or by mail to those who prefer hard copies. The newsletter serves as a way for members to communicate with each other and also helps you keep up-to-date on activities of interest. The newsletter helps create a community of friends and colleagues… minds from which you can learn and hearts to which you can connect.

Conferences

Sometimes AHMA holds its own national or regional conferences. At other times, we partner with professional organizations whose mission and membership is "synergetic" with ours. We also arrange for invitations and/or discounts for AHMA members to attend the conferences of other organizations, making it easy for you to save money while learning more about integrative, complementary, alternative, functional and holistic medicine.
